Who Are We and What Is Our Mission

In a sentence… we are a family of believers who have chosen to glorify and honor God through our business. Without Him, we are nothing….

In 2018 we started a small hobby candle “business” because it was a dream I had. However, it could only be a hobby-type version of my dream….

You see, In 2012 I suffered an injury to my left knee that took me out of the job I so deeply loved and sent me into a downward spiral. After seeing an orthopedic doctor for the knee injury it was noticed through my blood work that I had an inflammatory process of some kind going on. After horrific experiences with specialists and being told it was either due to my weight or in my head, I was seen by a rheumatologist 3 hours from my home who was actually able to figure it out! I had a generic anomaly that predisposed me to autoimmune disorders. I had multiple!

After being diagnosed with 5 autoimmune diseases (among other things), treatments began. From oral chemo to infusions, injections, nearly weekly blood work, MRIs, CAT scans, colonoscopies starting in my late 20s, multiple major surgeries including removal of a full armpit due to sepsis and rectal surgery at only 31.

My life revolved around a box of pills, a TV, and a couch. I laid down one day and decided that was it…. That was my life…. Wake up, go lay on the couch and watch TV, eat all my meals laying down, get up only to potty or to go back to my bed to lay down again, and repeat every single day until the day I died. The only times I wasn't on the couch or in my bed was when I was at tests or appointments or in the hospital (which was frequent also).

This was my life for 8 yrs… only my kids were keeping me here… they were my absolute ONLY reason to keep living. I thought I'd try to make my candles and such just try to make a few bucks here and there and I found joy in it.

We started Rustic Rapture in 2018 and we set up at local markets and small craft fairs in hopes of just one sale! Then Covid hit in 2020 and suddenly no events, no markets, no contact…. I was back in that downward spiral.

March 27, 2022 was the day my life changed. God reached down from His throne and felt me worthy to heal of 2 of those terrible diseases instantly. The colonoscopy performed one month later is proof of the healing power of God.

Since then, He has continued to lift me up. I still have some of those autoimmune diseases and other medical issues here and there….. but I have something bigger than all of those diseases…..I have the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit.

He laid on my heart to change the name of my business from Rustic Rapture to Beauty from Ashes in early 2024, so we did…. And with that name change, a mission emerged….. share the word of God through our business! After all, without God, I probably wouldn’t be here today. My kids would be without a mom…. My husband would be alone to raise 3 children. My parents would have to bury their only daughter. Thank God for the events of March 27, 2022. (Always happy to share the full testimony if asked about it!)

Today we are Beauty from Ashes because, just like the bible talks about in Isaiah 61:3, God can turn anything from ashes into beauty. God literally turned our lives into beauty from the ashes that remained from nearly a decade of our lives being aflame. I am more alive than ever before and my kids have the mom they always wanted and deserved. All thanks to Father God.

It’s never too late to cry out to him and our #1 goal is to shine the light of God in a dark and wicked world in the highest of hopes that even one soul will be touched by this ministry. Only one soul won for Father God will make every second, every drop of sweat, every sleepless night, every stabbed finger, and every early morning set up with late night tear down worth it all. Just one.

Because it is only thanks to God that I am alive, my family is whole and stronger than ever, and this ministry is even possible, we are committed to contributing 40% of all profits to other ministries around the world to further God’s work in the USA and abroad. Everywhere God is needed… WHICH IS EVERYWHERE!

We do have contributors that will have items on our site and they are also committed in the same way we are and will be adhering to the same commitment to Father God and His kingdom.

We have dedicated this business to God, for His purposes only. It is for Him… not us. We only desire to honor and glorify Him.
